Tim Cuddihy returns to the Australian Institute of Sport archery program
Olympic bronze medallist Tim Cuddihy has recently returned to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Archery program, with the goal of qualifying for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Cuddihy rejoined AIS Archery on 11 January. He had taken a two-year break from the sport after missing out on selection for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
The 22-year-old Cuddihy said his immediate focus would be on honing his technique. He said he had become unsure about his technique and this had resulted in a major problem prior to the trials for the Beijing Olympics.
Cuddihy will be training under the guidance of AIS and national head coach Simon Fairweather, who won gold in the men’s individual archery event at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
