Many successful athletes attribute their success to mental toughness in training and competition — so the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Performance Psychology team has developed Mental Toughness Online: a program designed to enhance the understanding and use of mental toughness skills in training and competition.

Performance Psychology is calling on all Australian athletes to participate in the research phase of Mental Toughness Online from 15 February to 30 April 2010.

You can be playing any level of competitive sport at any age to participate in Mental Toughness Online, although if you are under 18 years of age you will need the consent of your parent/guardian.

Mental Toughness Online consists of six modules that you complete online and at your own pace.

If you choose to participate, you will be randomly assigned one of the modules to complete within a six-week period.

Each module requires approximately one–two hours of online time and the completion of various offline activities.
