Six Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) athletes have been named in the under-19 Australian netball squad at the close of the under-17 and 19 2010 National Netball Championships on 12 April. 

AIS athletes joining the under-19 national netball squad are:

• Chanel Gomes (QLD) 
• Nicola Gray (NSW) 
• Mary Livesey (Vic) 
• Kate Shimmin (SA)
• Verity Simmons (NSW)
• Stephanie Wood (QLD)

Stephanie Wood was also awarded San Remo most valuable player for the national championships with strong performances for Queensland.

This squad will participate in a national training camp based at the AIS from 15 to 18 July, guided by head coach of the under-19 women’s netball team Stacey West. 

Members of this squad will be in the running for selection in the under-19 Australian netball team to be announced at the end of the training camp on 18 July.
