Australia has produced another flurry of medals in the diving program, but Canada continues to dominate proceeedings at the Dr S.P.M Aquatics Centre.

The Canadian divers have produced a master class off all diving platforms and continued on Tuesday, as they won two of the three gold medals on offer.

Australia, who have dived well throughout the program to date, had to once again settle for silver in each category.

AIS athlete Ethan Warren teamed with 2008 Beijing Olympic gold medallist Matthew Mitcham in the men’s 10m platform synchronised final to claim the silver medal.
English divers Max Brick and Tom Daley ran away with the competition, finishing with a grand total of 439.65, while Warren and Mitcham recorded 423.81.

Warren and Mitcham then combined later in the night to win a silver medal in the men’s 3m synchronised platform.

The Australian duo led going into the final dive of the evening but Canadian superstar Alexandre Depatie and team mate Reuben Ross produced one of the dives of the event to snatch the gold medal with a score of 430.35. Mitcham and Warren totalled 424.47.

In the one women’s event of the day, AIS athlete Sharleen Stratton continued Australia’s silver medal trend, finishing an agonising 2.6 points behind Canadian Jennifer Abel.
Abel and Stratton were locked in an intense battle all evening, but the Canadian managed to keep her nose in front across the final dives. Australia’s two other divers in the competition, Jaele Patrick and AIS athlete Olivia Wright, finished 4th and 5th respectively.

Australia has now won six silver medals from the eight events contested, while Melissa Wu and Alexandra Croak have claimed the solitary gold medal.
