Australia’s best women’s water polo players compete at AIS Institute Challenge

Australia’s best women’s water polo players will compete in the 2010 Institute Challenge to be held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra from November 21-26.

The AIS Institute Challenge consists of teams from the Queensland Academy of Sport, Western Australia Institute of Sport, Victorian Institute of Sport, NSW Institute of Sport and a Composite team.

The Queensland Academy of Sport will be looking to defend their champion’s title having defeated arch rivals NSWIS in last year’s grand final.

Australian coach Greg McFadden will be keeping a close eye on the action with the Australian team to compete in the Canada Cup from 15-19 December.

All Institute Challenge games will be played at the AIS Swimming Pool with admission free of charge.

Sunday 21 November

4.30pm: WAIS v Composite
6.00pm: QAS v VIS

Monday 22 November

9.30am: NSWIS v WAIS
11.00am: QAS v Composite
4.30pm: VIS v WAIS
6.00pm: Composite v NSWIS

Tuesday 23 November

4.30pm: QAS v WAIS
6.00pm: VIS v NSWIS

Wednesday 24 November

4.30pm: VIS v Composite
6.00pm: QAS v NSWIS

Thursday 25 November

4.30pm: 4th v 5th
6.00pm: 2nd v 3rd

Friday 26 November

10.30am: Bronze medal match (Winners of 4th v 5th vs loser of 2nd v 3rd)
12.00pm: Gold medal match (Winners of 1st vs winners of 2nd v 3rd)
