Swim with the stars to help flood relief
20 past and present AIS swimmers will do their part for the Queensland Flood Relief Appeal on Saturday 22 January at the Dickson Pool in Canberra.
From 1.303pm some of Australia’s swimming stars including Alicia Coutts, Felicity Galvez, Ashley Delaney and Cam Prosser will conduct swimming lessons and pass on their knowledge and experience to children of all ages.
The effort from the AIS swimmers is part of a broader push by the Australian Swim Team to contribute to the natural disaster in Queensland and a variety of events will be held across Australia in a bid to raise funds.
Admission to the Dickson pool on Saturday will be on a donation basis with 100 per cent of the funds raised being donated to the appeal.
Other activities on the day will include photos and autograph signings, lucky door prizes and a fundraising bbq.
