The Australian team is set for the 2015 World Rugby Under-20 Championship after a week of preparations at the AIS European Training Centre in Gavirate, Italy.
The team departed the centre on Friday having used the world-class facilities to combine rejuvenation and training before the championship in Italy from 2-20 June. They will be based at the Mantova Rugby club between championship matches.
Australian Under-20s rugby head coach Adrian Thompson said the AIS facility had been a great first stopover for the team.
“We have been able to give the players plenty of downtime due to the magnificent surroundings and have also been able to utilize the recovery and gym facilities available,” he said.

The AIS staff have been very supportive and the facility has also enabled the team’s coaching staff to finalise preparations for game one against Samoa.”
