Probationary registration

A letter will be sent to a successful community coach once there has been a positive assessment of the Probationary Registration Application Form and supporting requirements.

The letter will contain a card which is proof of probationary registration status as an Active After-school Communities (AASC) program community coach. Community coaches are encouraged to carry the card and ID with them when delivering in the AASC program as site coordinators may request to view them.

All community coaches are subject to a probationary period of six months. During this period they will be required to undertake, and satisfactorily complete, a practical assessment to gain full registration.

Should the six month probationary period expire before full registration is obtained, probationary registration will lapse and the community coach will be ineligible to continue providing services in the AASC program.  The regional coordinator will liaise with the probationary community coach to ensure that the Appraisal for Full Registration is completed within this time frame.
