5 Star Community Coach and Super Site Awards

23 Nov 2010

The AASC theme for Term 4 each year combines the National 5 Star Community Coach Award and Super Site Award.

There are two 5 Star Community Coach Award award levels - state and national. They have been established to:

  • promote best practice;
  • recognise outstanding achievement in coaching within individual states;
  • increase the profile of the AASC program through media opportunities;
  • increase the community coach participation pool; and
  • maintain current community coaches

There is one state award per state/territory, per term and one overall national winner announced in Term 4 (Term 3, TAS ) each year.

The Super Site Award recognises the outstanding contribution made by schools and Outside School Hour Care Services (OSHCS) in the coordination and delivery of the Active After-school Communities (AASC) program.

The Super Site Award has been established to:

  • promote best practice
  • recognise outstanding site achievement
  • maintain current site participation
  • increase the profile of the AASC program through media opportunities.

There is one annual Super Site Award per state/territory which is also announced in Term 4 (Term 3, TAS ) each year.
