Program design

Schools and Out of School Hours Care Services (sites) participating in the Active After-school Communities (AASC) program must consider program design to ensure that:

  • quality programs are implemented to attract children;
  • opportunities are created to grow participation in junior sport; and
  • proposed programs complement existing site programs whilst adhering to AASC requirements.

Regional coordinators will undertake discussions with sites to address program design options, associated costs and use of AASC and sporting partnership resources before grant applications are completed.
