Sports Ability equipment can now be purchased exclusively through Modern Teaching Aids (MTA). The package includes sports equipment for five inclusive activities, activity cards, instructional video and a boardmaker CD.
'What is Disability Sport?' CD-ROM - FREE
The 'What is Disability Sport?' CD-ROM is a disability sport and classification awareness package CD-ROM. It is a resource for anyone interested or involved in the provision of sport with a disability. The CD-ROM is a self-paced learning tool that covers both the broad aspects of disability sport, and classification in particular.
The CD-ROM is divided up into four units of work covering:
- an introduction to disability sport and classification
- the basis for modern classification systems
- the development of disability sport and classification
- the interpersonal skills needed by people working in disability sport and classification.
The material is highly interactive, containing over 100 video clips and images, interviews with athletes, classifiers and coaches, and a comprehensive workbook. All units have specific learning outcomes attached to them, each containing a ten-question multiple-choice quiz and a case study designed to test understanding.
The material is presented in an informal way using voice-over and subtitle options, with interviews and narratives to explain key concepts.

Disability Education Program (DEP) Activity Cards - $20.00 (12 cards per pack)
These cards have been specially developed for the DEP modules and are a great source of inclusive game ideas for people with and without disabilities. The cards are ideal for coaches, teachers and sports leaders and encourage use of the TREE principle to adapt and modify game situations to be more inclusive of people with a disability. This model can be used in any sports activity situation and each card lists examples of how TREE can be applied to the game, giving various adaptive strategies resulting in greater inclusion.
