Accreditation

It is recommended all coaches become accredited though the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS). The NCAS is an initiative of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and is a progressive coach education program offering courses at various levels with over 70 sports participating. Contact your national sporting organisation for information on how to become an accredited coach.

NCAS coaches  have met a minimum standard of competence and are recognised by national and state sporting organisations and the ASC. NCAS coaches also receive a range of benefits, including discounts on various workshops and publications.

Sports Accreditation Online

Sports Accreditation Online is the Australian Sports Commission’s (ASC) online information management system for national sporting organisations and currently accredited coaches and officials.

Features and benefits for accredited coaches and officials:

  • view accreditation details
  • exclusive access to Sports Coach and Sports Official online magazines
  • print a certificate of your accreditation
  • view/print a summary page of all accreditation and training details
  • view current information and news from the ASC and NSOs
  • update your personal and contact details*

*Some coaches and officials may be referred back to their sport for these functions.

Access is available to all currently accredited coaches and officials as long as your details have been provided to the ASC by your sport. When you first register, your details will be checked against this information and if a match is found, access will be granted.
