Elite Coach Development Program

The Elite Coach Development Program provides a pathway to fast track the development of the ‘next generation’ of national coaches (or in some cases existing national coaches).

The program provides a two to three year period of assistance, support and monitoring through a personalised professional development program for a coach currently in the high performance coaching structure of the targeted sport.

The program supports five to seven new coaches from high priority sports annually.

Each individual coach is supported by:

  • an individual coach assessment of their personal and professional capabilities and needs
  • an ASC/NSO negotiated flexible framework of professional and technical development, specifically designed to fast track the high performance development of the individual coach
  • a centralised (ASC) program of support and monitoring.
