General

General Tests consists of a number of basic field fitness tests for users wishing to be assessed on their general sporting capabilities. All tests are easy to perform and can be conducted within the home or school environment with minimal equipment. Participants aged 12-25 are eligible to complete the General Tests.

Results submitted for General Tests may be considered for any of the 13 current NTID sports.

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) allows you to use the eTID website on the following terms:

  1. The ASC respects the privacy of your personal information. Any personal information that you submit via this website is collected for the purpose of research and for evaluating your suitability for the ASC’s National Talent Identification and Development (NTID) program.
  2. Personal information collected via this website may be disclosed, for the above purposes only, to:
    • any Talent Assessment Centre organisation with which you register for further testing
    • state/territory institutes or accademies of sport and regional academies of sport
    • national sporting organisations or state sporting organisations
    • NTID research partners.
  3. You agree to ensure that any information submitted by you using this website is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  4. You acknowledge that any information, including the self assessment tests, provided to you via this website is for general information only and may not be appropriate or accurate in all circumstances. It is not a substitute for professional advice/testing and should not be relied upon as such.
  5. Note that any feedback provided to you based on your self assessment test results, is based on comparative data, reflective of general population trends, and in some instances is merely ‘predictive’ in nature.
  6. The ASC does not accept any liability for any injury, illness, loss or damage incurred by use of or reliance on the information on this website or through your participation of any of the self assessment talent identification tests.
  7. You acknowledge that you have read and understood all of the pre-test information and recommendations and the testing protocols provided on this website.
  8. You are 18 years of age or over or, if you are under 18 years of age, you have obtained the consent of your parent or guardian to participate in this testing.
  9. The Australian Sports Commission has engaged third-party websites to conduct athlete testing. You are required to accept the terms and conditions as stated on these websites. The information may be provided back to the ASC for analysis.
