Call for Australian sport organisations to tell their story
The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is inviting organisations within the Australian sport system to provide stories and content for its Australian Sport Online email newsletter.
Australian Sport Online is the ASC’s monthly email newsletter that keeps you up-to-date with all of the latest news and events in Australian sport. The newsletter reaches a diverse audience, including current Australian Institute of Sport athletes and alumni; ASC staff, coaches and officials from across Australian sport; key contacts in communities and schools; and the general public.
We would like to strengthen the newsletter by creating an opportunity each month for an organisation to tell their story. In other words, we want this newsletter to be as much about the sport system as it is about us. This opportunity is part of the ASC’s strategic shift towards a broader national focus, whereby the ASC is seeking to build greater sport system capacity through shared projects and partnerships, including collaborative communications.
We are calling for stories that show how Australian sporting organisations and sport system partners are aligning activities with the Government’s key sport agendas — as set out in Australian Sport: The Pathway to Success — including increased grassroots participation and strengthening sporting pathways. In particular we’d like to hear about successes, challenges and new developments relating to:
- Indigenous sport
- disability sport
- women in sport
- volunteering
- coaching
- officiating.
To contribute a story please email the ASC using the general enquiry form (use the ‘ASC email newsletter’ enquiry type).
Please note:
- All content submitted will have the potential to be used for other purposes, including website features and ASC program case studies.
- All story submissions will need to be accompanied by an appropriate image.
- While we can’t guarantee all submissions will be included in Australian Sport Online, we will endeavour to use all stories that meet the criteria.
