First generation AASC program participant trains to be a deliverer

15 Sep 2008

In 2005 Tessa Fox, a year six student at Port Lincoln Primary School, was an enthusiastic participant of the AASC program. Now over three years later, Tessa is in Year 10 at Port Lincoln High School and has just completed the CCTP to become a deliverer.

We think this could be a first for the AASC program, a first generation participant giving back to the program!

Tessa has been an active member of her local Zen Do Kai Club for many years.  Zen Do Kai is a freestyle martial art system and is something that Tessa is passionate about. In year 7, Tessa became the ‘assistant coach’ within the AASC Zen Do Kai sessions at her former primary school.

Tessa is now keen to pass these same opportunities on to other primary school children through her role as an AASC coach.

‘I enrolled in the CCTP because it sounded like fun and now I really like the idea of going back to my old primary school as a coach in AASC program.’
