Game description

A player practices their accuracy by attempting to hit a target and aiming to score maximum points.

What you need (setting up)

  • 5 x foam arrows or throwing objects, e.g. sponge ball, softball, tennis ball, bean bag, scrunched up paper and tape.
  • Throw line 3 metres from a target.
  • Chalk to form 3 metres concentric circles on a wall or a poster with circles already drawn.

What to do

  • Using a bow and arrow, or throwing objects, aim for the target area.
  • Repeat for a given number of rounds, e.g. 5 throws.

Scoring

  • Points are scored depending on where the arrow or ball hits the target area.
  • Player notes whether their score improves from round to round.
  • Set a target score for a set number of rounds, e.g. 20 or more for 5 rounds.

Change it

  • Increase the distance between the target and the starting line.
  • Use different targets.
