Game description

A player practices watching the movement of a shuttlecock then tries to hit some targets.

What you need (setting up)

  • 1 x shuttlecock racket.
  • A variety of targets - bins, buckets, bags, mats and cones.

What to do

  • Highs: A player hits a shuttlecock as high as they can into the air then they move under it to hit it again as it falls.
  • Lows: A player stands on one side of a net, or net substitute, and tries to hit shuttlecocks into objects or spaces.

Change it

  • Move the targets closer or further away from the player.
  • Add points to targets.

  • Ensure the playing surface is flat and free of obstacles since the player will have their eyes upward in the first part of the activity.
