Game description
Players work in pairs. On the signal 'GO!' a player from each pair picks up their racket and runs to a central point to collect one shuttlecock and hit it back to their team-mate at their base. The racket is handed over and the next player runs to the centre to repeat the activity. The aim is to collect the most number of shuttlecocks.
What you need (setting up)
- 15 – 20 x shuttlecocks.
- 4 x cones or markers.
- 1 x hoop, chalk or removable tape.
What to do
- Form 4 even teams - if there are odd numbers, some team members will go through more times than others.
- Teams collect as many shuttlecocks as possible in the allotted time - start with 60 seconds.
- Using an underarm hit players determine strength and accuracy required to get the shuttlecock to their partner. When all the shuttlecocks have been removed from the centre the coach calls 'STOP!

Scoring
- The team with the most shuttlecocks is the winning team.
Change it
- Players begin with the shuttlecocks at their base and return them one at a time to the centre before they can collect them and hit them to their team-mates.
- Use over arm hits.
- Players must hit the shuttlecock into the air at least three times between the centre and their base before they can hand the racket over.
Safety
- Keep an eye on the shuttlecock and team-mates.
