Game description

A player combines basic dribbling skills with the competitive element of racing against the clock.

What you need (setting up)

  • 8 - 10 cones or markers set up as shown.
  • 1 x size 5 basketball per person or a ball of similar size.

What to do

  • Walk and dribble the ball the first time, run and dribble all other times.
  • Alternate the dribbling hand each time through the course.

Scoring

  • Count the number of times around the course in 30 seconds.

Change it

  • Dribble 2 balls at the same time through the course.
  • Set the course up near a wall. Dribble the ball to 1 cone at a time, bounce the ball off the wall, catch it and continue dribbling.

Safety

  • Ensure the playing surface is clear of obstacles.
