What you need (setting up)

- 1 x paddle bat or kick board.
- 1 x personal flotation device (life jacket).
What to do
- Straddle the noodles in the water and begin paddling from one side of the pool to the next.
- At the middle point roll off the noodles and try to get back on while keeping hold of the paddle.

- Repeat the activity, but after the roll hold the noodles and swim it to shore.

Change it
- Add items in the water to paddle around.
- Time the activity.
- Try paddling forwards and backwards
Safety
- Perform activities in enough water and away from the edges to avoid colliding with the bottom or sides of the pool.
- Ensure supervision is provided
Ask the players
- How do you keep a canoe going straight?
