Game description

Players work together to move their team ‘in’ their canoe from one side of the pool to the other.

What you need (setting up)

  • A pool or shallow open water.
  • 4 - 6 x foam pool noodles unbound per group of 3 – 6.
  • 2 x paddle bats or kick boards per team.
  • 1 x personal flotation device (life jacket) per person.

What to do

  • Players determine how to group their noodles before they begin.
  • Teams race each other across the pool.
  • All team-mates must be ‘in the canoe’ before paddling can begin/continue.

Safety

  • Perform activities in enough water and away from the edges to avoid colliding with the bottom or sides of the pool.
