Game description

Groups of 8 or more are placed over a playing area. In even teams, the team with the ball passes it between team-mates without the ball being intercepted by the other team. Both the passer and receiver must be off the ground when the ball is passed or received.

What you need (setting up)

  • 4 x cones or markers to define the playing areas about the size of a netball court.
  • 1 x European handball, or similar sized ball, per game.

What to do

  • The team in possession starts play from the centre of the court.
  • Players jump and attempt to pass the ball to a team-mate while they are in the air.
  • Passes must be a minimum of 2 metres from player to player.
  • Players in possession of the ball are allowed up to 3 steps after receiving the ball before they pass the ball.
  • Players may not hold the ball for more than 3 seconds while they are standing still.
  • The team seeking possession gains it by intercepting the ball or if the opposing team drops the ball.
  • Possession changes if a player steps out of the area with the ball.
