Game description
Players pass the ball to each other in an attempt to run across a goal line and score a try. The opposition can intercept to gain possession or lightly touch a player with the ball. (Play in teams of 4 - 8).
What you need (setting up)
- 4 x cones or markers to define the playing area for each game.
- 1 x size 4 football per game.
What to do
- Start with the ball at the half way mark.
- Play begins with a tap kick.
- Pass backward using basic rugby passes or kicks
- Players run to try and score a try.
- Players play the ball when tagged.
- Teams aim for at least 1 backward pass after the first play-the-ball, 2 backward passes after the second play-the-ball.
- Defenders cannot move for 3 seconds after the play-the-ball.

Scoring
- Players score one point for a try.

- Increase or decrease the size of the playing area.
Safety
- Ensure the playing area is flat and free of obstructions.
