- Introduction to the Rules of Doubles:
-
- In doubles all players must take it in turns to hit the ball.
- In each game of doubles match, the pair having the right to serve first will choose which of them will do so and in the first game of a match the receiving pair will decide which of them will receive first. In subsequent games of the match, the first server having been chosen, the first receiver is the player who served to him in the preceding game. At the change of games the opposite team starts to serve.
- When serving in doubles, the ball must touch successively the right half court of server and receiver.
- In doubles, at each change of service the precious receiver becomes the server and the partner of the previous server becomes the receiver.

Scoring
- Make the length of the rally the objective by counting the number of times the table tennis ball is hit back and forth.
Change it
- Teams compete against one another up to 11 points.
- Players may hit the ball in any sequence rather than alternately.
- Rotate with other pairs once a game is finished.
Safety
- Take care not to accidentally hit players – play the shot and move out of the way.
- Ensure sufficient space between teams and tables.
Ask the players
- Where is the best place to hit the ball to score a point in doubles?
