Game description

A player tries to keep a ball off the ground for as long as possible by setting or digging to themselves.

What you need (setting up)

  • 1 x mini-volleyball or similar sized ball.

What to do

  • A player digs or sets the the ball continuously to themself.

Scoring

  • How many times can you set or dig the ball without it touching the ground?
  • How do you position your hands to set or a dig a ball?

Change it

  • Catch the ball after each set or dig.
  • Set a time limit and try to set or dig as many times as possible within the timeframe, e.g. 30 seconds.

Safety

  • Ensure the playing area is flat and free of obstacles.

Ask the players

  • How can you make sure the ball does not hit the ground?
