Game description

Targets are set up away from a throwing area. A player scores points by throwing balls at the targets.

What you need (setting up)

  • 8 - 10 x different objects that float, e.g. beach ball, foam pool noodle, kick board, plastic frisbee, plastic bottles with a little sand or water in the bottom.
  • 8 - 10 x balls to throw equal to the number of targets. Wet sponges can also be used as throwing objects.

What to do

  • A player throws a ball to hit or land near the targets.

Scoring

  • Award points for a hit and different points for a near hit.
  • Try to achieve maximum score or try to achieve a set score.

Change it

  • Swim toward the objects before throwing a ball to hit them.
  • Move into deeper water.
  • Change the size of the ball to be thrown.
  • Make waves so the targets move and try to hit them.

Safety

  • Ensure the activity is in a water level suitable to the ability of the swimmer.
  • Ensure supervision is provided.
