Game description

2 teams each with 2 or more players. The team with the ball makes as many passes as possible before the opposing team intercepts.

What you need (setting up)

  • 4 x cones, markers or lane ropes to define the playing area.
  • 1 x water friendly ball per team.

What to do

  • Teams try to reach the highest number of passes in a set time.
  • 1 person on each team keeps score.
  • The ball must be passed to every participant.

Scoring

  • The team with the highest number of passes in a set time wins.

Change it

  • Reduce or extend the playing area.
  • When the ball is thrown the players who do not receiving it bob under the water then up again before it is thrown to someone else.
  • Throw the ball, then swin to the position where it has been thrown to.

Safety

  • Ensure ability levels are matched.
  • Water depth should be suitable for the ability level of all participants. 
  • Only throw a ball when the receiver is ready.
