Sport working with education

These web pages are designed to assist people working in sporting organisations to understand and work more effectively with the education sector (including schools, principals, teachers, administrators, parents and students). It contains important information, ideas, actions, templates, contact lists and web links.

One of the most important things that we as adults can do for children is to provide them with quality sporting experiences and all the physical, social and psychological benefits that these confer.

It is recommended that national sporting organisations become familiar with policy and curriculum issues concerning school sport and physical education at all levels of government. State sport organisations should be familiar with state and territory education systems and related policies and curricula. These organisations can then advise and support local groups and clubs about the best ways in which to interact with schools.

Practical information and supporting tools and templates have been provided for clubs to assist in the delivery of fun, safe and quality junior sport experiences for young people.

Use the links at the top of the page to find further information and resources.
