Welcome to the new website for the Australian Sports Commission. Launched in February 2008, the site was a result of extensive research with our stakeholders, including sports, coaches, media and the community.
The content has been enhanced for the new site and the navigation has been simplified significantly to help you find the information that you need. If you have any difficulty finding information on the new site that you were able to access in the past - please let us know.

Why did you change the site?
We received lots of feedback that the content on our site was great but it was just too hard to find. We also wanted to take advantage of the amazing developments in web technology since our site was last redeveloped back in 2004.
How did you decide on this design?
We consulted you, our users, and took inspiration from the best sites on the web. We decided that the site needed to reflect what sport means to Australians using vivid dynamic imagery. We think that we achieved that!
We even invited some of our users to try out the new navigation and help us decide on the colours. We listened to their feedback and then made changes based on what they thought. We will continue to do that throughout the life of this site.
What's different?
We concentrated on navigation, news and highlighting the rich, deep content that has always been on our site. The navigation is now more meaningful and just like before is consistent across our entire site. The news and feature stories have always been around but sometimes buried so deep you couldn't find them!
Other differences you may notice:
Font size: We had lot's of feedback that our font was too small. It's bigger now but don't forget you can always adjust text size using your browser.
RSS feeds: Now you can subscribe to news that interests you.
AIS athlete and coach profiles: get to know the AIS athletes and coaches.
Content tagging: a feature that helps you find related content
