Officials

  • More news...
  • An official is any person who controls the actual play of a competition by applying the rules and laws of the sport to make judgments on rule infringement, performance, time and score.

Officials play a key role in ensuring the spirit of the game and/or event is observed by all.

The ASC is committed to developing quality services to Australia’s officials. To this end, a National Officiating Advisory Group has been established. This group is made up of leading officials from a range of sports with the aim of raising and addressing issues facing officials, and providing strategic direction for future initiatives of the ASC.

This section of the website is designed to support new and current officials, with tools and resources to assist in day to day officiating activities, as well as education and development information. Use the navigation on the left to access more information.
