Agreements are negotiated with eight state and territory departments of sport and recreation for the development and delivery of programs and services, and the development of national networks.

These agreements cover activities in such areas as indigenous sport, coaching and officiating, junior sport, sport for people with disability, organisational development, club development, harassment-free sport and women in sport.

State and territory department of sport and recreation funding is reviewed annually against the objectives and performance measures listed in the annual agreements, as well as compliance with ASC requirements.
