Swimming

The Targeted Sports Participation Growth Program developed by Swimming Australia Limited (ASI) has two components - GO Swim and a Recreational Swimming Program.

Go Swim Program

The GO Swim program aims to assist children making the transition from learn to swim programs to either competitive or recreational swimming. The program targets children (generally six to eleven year olds) and they can register through the participating Service Providers.

GO Swim encourages grassroots participation with the emphasis on fun and skills while providing a safe and friendly environment for all involved. GO Swimmers receive a member’s kit that includes a bag, water bottle, swim cap, poster, muesli bar, member card and lanyard.

The GO Swimmers undertake lessons as part of the program and have the opportunity to be involved in exclusive GO Swim events either at their centre or combining with other GO Swimmers for bigger events. GO Swimmers are introduced to local swimming clubs to encourage greater participation at a club level both in metropolitan and country locations.

GO Swim encourages the development of pathways for our junior swimmers in the sport of swimming.
