Performance Coach Program

Application

The AIS Centre for Performance Coaching and Leadership will deliver world best approaches to learning and development which invoke discussion, transformation and practical applied solutions to frontline performance coaching and leadership challenges.

Coach expectations

The success of the program is dependent upon committed and dedicated coaches who are seeking to play an active coaching role in delivering outstanding results for Australia over the next decade. Those wishing to be accepted to the program must be currently employed as a coach in a high performance program and committed to:

  • learning new ways to enhance their coaching within a complex high performance environment
  • being stretched and challenged
  • being an active coach in the program, including mandatory attendance at all residential labs
  • actively demonstrating and implementing your learning in your coaching, sport and the high performance system.

Application process

  1. Discuss your intention to apply with your NSO/NIN high performance manager.
  2. Complete and submit your application by close of business, Friday 2 February 2018. Each application must include the following:
    1. completed application form
    2. a current Curriculum Vitae (maximum two pages)
    3. your coaching aspirations (see application form)
    4. a letter of support from your NSO/NIN high performance manager which includes a career development profile (see application form).
  3. Applications will be consolidated and the final selection process will be undertaken by an AIS selection panel
  4. Coaches will be notified of the outcome of their application late February 2018, with the first coaching lab scheduled for the week beginning 21 May 2018.
