Get into Rugby is a fun and inclusive program which provides students with the skills and core values required to play all formats of rugby. The Program includes a mix of activities and modified games to introduce participants to Rugby in a fun, safe and inclusive environment that is suitable for all skill levels and experience.
Get into Rugby Program for students with intellectual disability or autism
The Get into Rugby Program for students with intellectual disability or autism has been designed by Rugby Australia in partnership with Special Olympics Australia to support the delivery of safe, inclusive rugby experiences within special education environments.
Rugby Australia’s coaches are purposefully trained and provided with resources to adapt activities to suit the needs of participating students, ensuring that all students receive a fun, engaging, and memorable experience.
Play 7s
Play 7s is aimed at upper Primary and Secondary students that are interested in learning the specific skills and competencies on how to play Rugby 7s. The program introduces students to a fun, fast format of rugby. Sessions include a mix of Rugby 7s skills, modified match play and game practice.
Tri Tag Ruby
Tri Tag Rugby is a new and exciting tag-based rugby union game.
Tri Tag Rugby uses an innovative three-tag stretchable tagging belt to simulate match play in a safe, non-contact environment, providing a softer introduction to the game whilst supporting participant’s physical, psychological, social, and cognitive skill development.
