Remote Processing Update
In conjunction with the Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) Dare to Dream team processing that were held across the country, Sideline Champions were also invited to attend and take part in their own team processing. They joined the team briefing session and gained insights into the roles and responsibilities of an athletes support network which will help those closest to the athlete understand how they can best support their loved ones in the build up to, and during, the 2018 Commonwealth Games. The final step of processing were for Sideline Champions to complete accreditation and provide data and sizing for a unique Sideline Champions t-shirt.
An accreditation will be required to access the Sideline Champions lounge during the Games period. For those Sideline Champions who requested to be processed remotely or were unable to attend any of the sessions, the Sideline Champions team will be in touch with you once team selections have been announced to ensure that all your details, including general contact information, a passport sized photo for your accreditation pass and t-shirt size have been submitted.
Each athlete who is selected to the Australian Commonwealth Games team has been asked to nominate two Sideline Champions, who will be presented with a t-shirt each free of charge.
Be apart of the Sideline Champions Impact Study
To analyse and measure the impact of the Sideline Champions program CGA and the AIS will be collecting data from parents, partners and significant others before, during and post Games. This will be achieved through a series of online surveys. The information will be held securely and it will be analysed by a 3rd party. The Sideline Champions team encourages you to take part in the short survey (should only take 5mins).
