Casual Employment

The Australian Sports Commission offers a variety of casual employment opportunities. Current vacancies are listed on the Jobs page.

The Commission has a regular need for casual Swimming Instructors and Childcare Workers. If you are interested in having your name placed on the register for these employment opportunities, complete the online application form below. When vacancies arise, applicants from the register will be invited for interview. Your application will remain current for six months.

Application Form, Swimming Instructor - Teach swimming and aquatic saftey to children. A variety of shifts are available at different times of the year.

Application Form, Childcare - Provide casual relief and help with providing high quality childcare for 0-5 year olds.

Work Experience

The Australian Sports Commission offers work experience and clinical placements to tertiary level students from Australia.

Secondary school students

We do not have a formal secondary school work experience program.

Tertiary students

We offer a limited number of work experience or student placements. Opportunities for Postgraduate and Undergraduate Australian students are available within the Active After-school Communities Program and Sports Science Sports Medicine Departments.
