AIS Documentary

Forging Champions is a new feature documentary that takes you inside the engine room of Australian sport. For over 40 years, the Australian Institute of Sport is where raw talent has been sharpened into world-class excellence. Through interviews with athletes, coaches and staff, we relive Australia’s defining sporting moments and uncover what drives sustained excellence.

From the legends of the past to the gold-medal hopefuls for our home Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032, this is the story of how the AIS continues to shape Australia’s next generation of champions.

Important note for athletes

This documentary highlights the journeys of individuals through the AIS.

If you, or someone you know, has been affected by experiences at the AIS, support is available via the Restorative Program web page on the Australian Sports Commission website and by calling 1300 345 616 or contacting Lifeline on 13 11 14 or 13 YARN.
