Having problem solving skills are really useful because you can adapt them to any context when faced with an obstacle. They help you work out what to do next, who to go to for help and how to keep trying different options until you succeed. These skills are so fundamental to being a resilient person who can bounce back from setbacks and they apply to any area of life! In my life and sporting carer, I have had to develop and use problem solving skills countless times, and it’s made all the difference. So being a part of the AIS Problem Solvers Program to help kids develop these skills to use for themselves is especially meaningful to me.
