Bentley Walker Broose

I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Canberra.

I chose to study this degree because I love the idea of sport, I'm addicted to sport. Without sport I feel the world loses a large part of itself. Sport brings people together, keeps people driven and motivated, and best of all, keeps people happy.

I want to be able to spread and share my love for physical activity in a way that has meaning. If I can become a coach and have the best knowledge of how to help an athlete succeed in sport while also being able to enjoy it, then I have successfully achieved my dream as both a sports person, and a future leader.

Exercise science covers many different areas across performance and general athlete life. Testing, physiology, general health, mental health, mindset, and athlete to coach relationships are all covered in this course which is helping me to learn so much about the finer details that i never truly understood before.

I hope that in the future, I can help inspire children and high performing athletes to continue to chase their dreams as hard as they can, while also giving them the best chance to do so.

Exercise science also helps me to have a better understanding of my own performance. I've been able to drastically alter and improve my training as a result of taking these classes and learning how different aspects of performance can be changed by simple little tweaks in training.
