Brin Liddell 2

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Newcastle University. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of business fundamentals while emphasizing innovation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving—key skills required to succeed as an entrepreneur. It covers areas such as business development, financial management, marketing strategies, and sustainable enterprise, all of which are essential for launching and managing a successful business.

My decision to enroll in this program stems from a long-standing passion for business. Having grown up around my family’s construction business, I was exposed to the realities of entrepreneurship from a young age. I witnessed firsthand the challenges and rewards of running a company, from financial planning to operational management. This experience sparked my ambition to one day establish and run my own business.

Beyond my entrepreneurial aspirations, I have also been involved in an Olympic campaign, which shares many parallels with running a business. Managing an elite sports campaign requires careful budgeting, strategic goal-setting, and logistical planning—skills that are directly transferable to the world of business. Understanding how to create and sustain a competitive advantage is crucial in both arenas.

By studying Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship, I aim to refine my leadership abilities, develop a strong business acumen, and gain the knowledge necessary to build a successful venture in the future. This degree is the perfect foundation to turn my entrepreneurial vision into reality.
