Georgia Chapman
Water Polo Australia | Australian Catholic University | Bachelor of Education (Primary and Secondary)

I chose this course for personal reasons. My experience in school was challenging, primarily due to mental health issues that were not identified in primary school and not well understood at the time. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in teaching, specifically with the goal of being the kind of educator who can offer understanding and support to students facing similar challenges. I want to make a difference for those who might feel overlooked or alienated, as I once did.
I would greatly benefit from financial support for my educational needs due to my current circumstances. I live away from home in Sydney, completely independent, as I am a country athlete pursuing my studies and training in a highly demanding, under-financed sport. My training schedule consumes approximately seven hours of my day, from early mornings to late evenings and is highly dynamic. Alongside university placement, this makes it incredibly challenging to maintain a steady work schedule, further complicating my ability to support myself financially.
