Swimming. University of Canberra. Bachelor of Science (Psychology).
My course is a Bachelor of Science in Psychology undergraduate degree. Upon my completion of high school I felt a strong desire to study in the field of health. Due to my disability, unfortunately many courses and future careers were ruled out, due to physical demands. When I discovered the profession of psychology, I finally felt that I had found my passion, hence my pursue to become a psychologist in the future. With no prior knowledge, but a strong sense of motivation, I began my degree and since then I have never looked back, I am absolutely intrigued and captivated by my chosen pathway.
My participation in studying psychology is incredibly valuable for my holistic development, as an athlete and person. My studies have allowed me to excel in my sports, as what I have learned is very applicable. I believe I am a good role model and athlete, but also a great teammate and member of the swim team, as I can support my peers and offer my knowledge as a senior. I have been on the swim team since i was 12 years old, so i feel that during my time on the team i have grown tremendously, and will continue to do so with the continuation of my psychology studies. I believe that my passion and commitment to my studies of psychology will allow me to win well in sport and in life by setting me up for success and growth into the future.
