I am in my 3rd Year of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at ACU, North Sydney campus. Once I have completed this degree, I will be a fully qualified physiotherapist. My career opportunities will be diverse and could include working with people of all ages and in a variety of settings including hospitals, aged care, with sporting clubs or in private practice. I aspire to work in the disability sector, particularly in paediatrics. I can also see myself working in the para-athlete space to support these amazing and inspiring individuals.

Study at a Tertiary level will allow me to carve out a future that breaks the disadvantage cycle and changes my trajectory from a sense of hopelessness, putting me in a position as a primary health care practitioner where I can help others in their struggles and challenges while earning enough to self-support financially. I believe my lived experiences, both as a gymnast and also my family of origin history, will make me a better Physiotherapist and person. It's made me more empathetic, with a real understanding of how hard life can be with adversity and how much of a difference support can make. It's important to me to have a career with purpose where I can help others. I've worked hard to overcome adversity, always striving to continue learning, healing and growing, not allowing my lived experiences to define me or my potential. Education is central to this and any support will greatly contribute to allowing me to unlock my full potential to win well in sport and in life.
