Table Tennis. Deakin University. Master of Sport Management.
I am currently enrolled in a Sport Management course because, as a professional athlete, I believe that this program will provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the inner workings of the sports industry. Throughout my athletic career, I have experienced firsthand the impact that effective management, legal regulations, and ethical considerations have on the success of sports organizations.
This course includes subjects such as Sport and Law, Sport Ethics, and Integrity, which will help me gain insights into how sports organizations are structured and regulated within legal frameworks. Understanding these aspects is crucial in today’s rapidly evolving sports landscape, where national institutions and private organizations must find a balance between commercial development and maintaining the integrity of the sport. As sports continue to globalize, the ability to navigate legal, ethical, and financial challenges will be an essential skill. By studying Sport Management, I hope to deepen my connection with the sports industry and contribute to its long-term development.
My ultimate goal is not only to improve as an athlete but also to be actively involved in shaping the future of the sports sector, whether through sports administration, athlete representation, or the development of grassroots programs that nurture young talents. Through this course, I aim to build a strong foundation that will allow me to bridge the gap between athletic performance and the business side of sports, making me a more well-rounded professional in the field.
