I am studying exercise and sports science, because not will it help with my training and understanding of what I am doing when I train but also because. I feel as though through understanding and personal experiences I would have greater knowledge in this field. as what I am also have learnt about I can add personal stories to what I'm learning to make it more applicable. I have always been interested in sport and what can be done to make the best possible performance, as well as what other things can be done to perform the best. it is also interesting in the para side of sports as it is often that no one has a similar disability and of they do, it is always to a different extent.

I feel like it is important for my development as I can learn from my sport that I love and learn from what I do in the day to day and make sense of that through my sport. I get to find out more about myself through my studies and realise what else I can do in my training to make me perform better. the more I learn in my degree the more I can put into my own training. it is also effective for me because in my study I talk and interact with other people the tare athletes and get to give them insight into what I do as an athlete and they also get to learn about para sports.
