I am studying a Graduate Certificate in Global Engagement and hope to progress into a Masters in Global Engagement and Human Rights. My aim in undertaking these studies is to be able to play a role in helping to craft solutions for the current global emergencies to improve the lives of those in my local communities and beyond.

As a full-time Para athlete my capacity to work is reduced, however by undertaking post-graduate studies I will be setting myself up for a solid career for my life after sport whilst opening up the door to more competitive part-time roles to help support myself whilst competing.

This particular course will support my wholistic development by expanding my academic skillset whilst giving me the tools to play a role in improving the lives of others, including people with disabilities, in the face of the many global challenges facing us. This adds to the value that I have in both the sporting world and in life, as a confident leader and problem-solver.
