Gymnastics. University of Technology Sydney. Bachelor of Construction Project Management.
I am currently studying the Bachelor of Construction Project Management at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in my third year. I have developed a strong foundation in Construction Management principles and practices. As I continue to advance my understanding of the Construction process, I have been exposed to elements of the Construction process such as Project Leadership and Strategy, Planning/Scheduling, Cost Estimation, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Risk and Safety, and Sustainability, amongst other subjects that continue to inform my understanding of the overall Construction process and how to manage its operational activities.
Furthermore, I am in the process of attaining an Internship/Cadetship program to gain Industry experience. While it’s a Course requirement, I am eager to apply this knowledge and understanding through a practical and hands on experience in the industry and am excited to learn more in the process.
I chose this course as I have always been fascinated by architecture and the aesthetics of residential building design and in absolute awe of high-rise construction. Through my education and life experiences my passion for visual arts expanded and with it, came a deeper appreciation for the design components that make Construction possible, steering me toward a career in the Construction Industry. While I am enthusiastic about gaining experience in the Australian Construction Industry to start off my career, I aspire to eventually impact the Global Construction sector.
As a Gymnast, it has been taught that success requires precision, discipline, and a level of adaptability when placed under pressure. Heading into the Construction Industry, I am confident to face its challenges as Project Management offers the potential for Leadership, problem-solving, and structured execution, each elements that I am constantly exposed to during training and competition as an elite Gymnast and will lend a hand when managing complex Construction.
