I’m enrolled in a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Griffith University and have completed 130 of the 240 credits to date. This undergraduate course was specifically selected as it precedes the Honors program and a master’s specialisation in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Currently, I’m completing all my units part-time alongside my sport and internships for personal development.

I initially selected this course out of fascination based on my exposure to psychology as an athlete. Since then, my future aspirations have moulded into a driving passion to change the paradigm of mental health and place research-based prevention above treatment. My recent internship with USHelath1 has allowed me to extensively research the mental health space in America and explore future preventative applications.

I have a sound desire to work with athletes as I believe the sporting realm implements a strong holistic view towards prevention and wellbeing. Additionally, my involvement in sports at any level aligns with my vision for mental health prevention, as sport is often seen as a protective factor. I hope to further develop my knowledge in the prevention-rich field of sports psychology, which may open the opportunity to transfer these skills to alternative target groups such as youth mental health.
