Lakara Stallan

I am enrolled in a Bachelor of Journalism at Adelaide University. As a full-time 200m sprinter based in Sydney after re-locating from Adelaide, balancing elite sport with academic study has taught me discipline, time management, and resilience, all qualities that also strengthen my journalistic practice. I see journalism as a way to contribute beyond the track by helping to keep the public accurately informed and by telling stories that inspire and empower others. This course gives me the foundation to do that responsibly, ethically and effectively in the future.
